This study examines the conceptual function of computer linguistics terminology in English and Uzbek. It analyzes how domain-specific terms perform both nominative and conceptual functions in representing scientific knowledge. The findings show that English terms generally encode conceptual meaning within the term itself, whereas Uzbek terminology often conveys it through explanatory definitions. The study emphasizes the need to standardize and enrich Uzbek computer linguistics terminology and concludes that terminology serves as a conceptual framework for the computational representation of language.
