INTEGRATING SMART EDUCATION TECHNOLOGIES INTO ENGLISH LANGUAGE TEACHING: PROS AND CONS

This article analyzes contemporary pedagogical and methodological issues concerning the integration of smart education technologies into English language classrooms. The study explores the benefits of digital innovations in enhancing language learning efficiency, creating personalized learning trajectories, and developing students' language skills. Concurrently, drawing upon the latest trends in global pedagogy, the negative consequences of over-technologization—such as excessive dependence on gadgets in education, cognitive overload, classroom distraction, and the digital divide—are scientifically substantiated. By comparatively evaluating the scholarly viewpoints of both foreign and local researchers, the paper develops actionable recommendations for implementing the “Blended Learning” model, which harmoniously balances traditional methodologies with smart digital technologies in English language teaching.
