SPATIAL AND TEMPORAL CONCEPTS IN SCIENTIFIC THINKING AND LINGUISTIC REPRESENTATION

This article examines the conceptual understanding of space and time in scientific and humanitarian disciplines. In many academic fields, space and time are regarded as separate but interconnected dimensions that together create the phenomenon known as space-time. The paper discusses theoretical perspectives on the interaction between spatial and temporal concepts and their role in scientific thinking and cognitive processes. Special attention is given to the linguistic representation of time through spatial metaphors in different languages. The study also considers how space and time function within events, processes, and flows in various areas of research.
